Cedars-Sinai Cancer created the Cancer Research Education and Training Program to support the next generation of cancer researchers and specialists with the aim of helping address various cancer health disparities in our communities by supporting and encouraging a diverse biomedical pipeline. We are continuously expanding our education and training efforts. U-GROW is a program led by Cedars-Sinai Cancer for students from the eight Los Angeles-area campuses of the California State University (CSU) system. This year-round program provides undergraduates a paid summer internship with cancer researchers from Cedars-Sinai Cancer or the CSU system. U-GROW scholars also participate in quarterly professional development roundtables and monthly scientific communication workshops. The application for the summer 2023 cohort is due Jan. 14, 2023. This seminar series provides a forum for postdocs to strengthen their training in cancer research, broaden their view of career development opportunities, and stimulate creative and forward thinking. Cedars-Sinai Cancer has developed a one-year, hands-on Clinical and Regulatory Sciences Graduate Certificate Program to train the next generation of leaders in clinical sciences. As translational research continues to expand, both in industry and in medical settings, there is a growing need for researchers and staff members who understand the regulatory processes required to advance scientific discoveries into product development and clinical trials. The Trainee Membership Program allows postdoctoral scientists, trainees and fellows to experience membership at Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute. Trainee membership is open to postdoctoral scientists, project scientists, graduate students, residents, fellows and any non-faculty clinicians that conduct cancer-focused research. Clinical Educations
We offer oncology residencies for MDs taking the next step toward becoming cancer specialists.
Physicians who have finished their residency can pursue fellowships in a cancer subspecialty.
Current faculty can take advantage of several programs offering training in specific skills.
