Degree Required

Personal Statement

Letters of Recommendation

A minimum of two letters must be submitted from individuals who have supervised the applicant's academic work or job performance.

Resume or CV

Three years of healthcare experience are suggested but not required. Exceptional candidates with less experience and interest in health systems science will also be considered.

The Cedars-Sinai Master of Science in Health Systems program spans 20 months and five trimesters, including 13 courses and a capstone project. It combines online learning with mandatory two-day in-person residentials each trimester for hands-on training and networking. This hybrid approach ensures students gain practical experience alongside theoretical learning. The program culminates with students presenting their capstone projects to Cedars-Sinai leadership during the final term's in-person session.

To apply, candidates must submit a completed online application, including a $55 application fee. A personal statement of up to three double-spaced pages is required, detailing the applicant's interest in the program and career goals. A resume or curriculum vitae (CV) highlighting at least three years of healthcare experience is suggested. A minimum of two letters of recommendation must be provided. Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree in any discipline with a grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher and demonstrate English proficiency if applicable.

Financial support may be available through the Cedars-Sinai Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) for employees. The program also offers a limited number of academic scholarships for highly meritorious candidates. Application fee waivers are available for those participating in eligible public service programs. Prospective students are encouraged to reach out to Victor Jackson, Student Financial Services Administrator, for detailed information on available financial assistance and scholarships.
