Ellen Bernstein earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, in 1980. She worked at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases in Bethesda, Maryland from 1980–87, and in the Department of Pathology at Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia, from 2004–08. She has been a Research Associate II in the Department of Biomedical Sciences at Cedars-Sinai since 2008.

Postdoctoral Scientist

Binod G C, PhD, earned his doctorate in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Toledo, Ohio. His research examined transcriptional regulation of hematopoiesis. He later trained at Yale School of Medicine, studying B-cell biology and malignancies. At Cedars-Sinai's Bernstein Lab, he investigates immunology and cell therapy, focusing on how angiotensin-converting enzyme regulates immune-cell function.
