Degree Required

Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree in engineering or physics and demonstrate exceptional potential for graduate study in magnetic resonance in medicine.

Personal Statement

The personal statement must demonstrate enthusiasm for the curriculum and highlight specific ways in which the MSMRM will help support the applicant's career development.

Admissions Interview

All applicants will be required to participate in an admissions interview. Interview invitations and scheduling instructions will be provided following review of completed applications.

Letters of Recommendation

A minimum of two letters must be submitted from persons who have supervised the applicant's academic work or job performance.

The Cedars-Sinai Master of Science in Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (MSMRM) program spans 20 months, training graduate students to become leaders in MR medicine. This accredited program immerses students in a world-class medical center, integrating scientific coursework with clinical rotations. Through interactions with leading clinicians and scientists, students gain both practical and theoretical expertise. The program prepares graduates to excel in the rapidly evolving field of magnetic resonance in medicine.

To apply to the MSMRM program, candidates must submit an online application along with a $55 fee. Applicants need to include a personal statement, a resume or CV, and two letters of recommendation. A bachelor's degree with a GPA of 3.0 or higher is required. Official transcripts must be provided, and TOEFL scores may be needed for non-native English speakers without a U.S. degree. Candidates must be able to attend in-person sessions on campus.
