How to Apply
To apply for the Cedars-Sinai Master of Science in Translational Immunology (TrIMS) program, submit the online application along with a $55 fee. You'll need to provide a personal statement, resume or CV, official transcripts, and a minimum of two letters of recommendation from individuals who have supervised your academic or job performance. Application Requirements
Review the documents and qualifications you will need to submit a complete and eligible application.
A bachelor's degree (BA or BS) from an accredited institution with a grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher is required for this program. Those with a lower GPA but outstanding accomplishments in their career to date will be considered. Although we anticipate most competitive applicants will have a degree in a biomedical field or other quantitative discipline, we will consider applicants with any BA or BS degree.
Two letters must be submitted from individuals who have supervised the applicant's academic work or job performance. These letters must be written on letterhead and should be emailed directly to [email protected] by the person writing the letter.
Official transcripts can be uploaded through the application portal or sent directly from the institution to the graduate program office at [email protected].
The essay must be under 500 words in 12-point Times New Roman font and address the following questions:
- Describe your research background and experience.
- Why are you interested in translational immunology research, and what area is of particular interest to you? (autoimmunity, transplant, cancer, infection, therapy or if other, please state)
- What are your long-term goals, and how would the TrIMS Program help you achieve them?
You will be able to submit this document in the Maestro portal after completing your online application.
Fill out an application at http://Cedars-Sinai.maestrosis.com. There is a $55 fee to apply. Application fee is waived for Cedars-Sinai employees who choose to apply.
At least one year of laboratory experience outside of college courses is strongly encouraged but not required.
You will upload the resume or CV in the Maestro portal.
The GRE is not required for this program.

This program will be hybrid. Some courses will be in person, while others will have mostly virtual lectures. A personal computer is required with the following hardware:

- Microphone and speakers
Students should also be aware of the following requirements:
- Microsoft Office and a web browser installed on their computer
- Reliable, high-speed internet access
- A quiet location to attend classes
- Basic computer and internet skills (e.g., manage files, install software, use a web browser, receive and send emails, use basic functions in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

The TrIMS program has a $55 application fee, which is waived for Cedars-Sinai internal applicants. A one-time fee waiver is available for those who have participated in eligible public service programs for at least a year.
