Mohammed Albatany
Postdoctoral Scientist

Mohammed Albatany received his BSc and MSc from the University of Basra and PhD degrees from the Department of Medical Biophysics, Western University–Canada. He is currently a postdoctoral scientist in the Biomedical Imaging Research Institute at Cedars-Sinai. His current research interests include developing and clinical applications of novel MRI techniques.

Tianle Cao
Graduate Student

Tianle Cao received his bachelor of science in biomedical engineering from Tsinghua University in Beijing, China, in 2018. Since then, he has been a PhD student in the bioengineering department at UCLA. His current research interests include brain and cardiac quantitative mapping.

Pei Han
Graduate Student

Pei Han received his bachelor’s degree in engineering physics at Tsinghua University. He is currently a PhD student at UCLA majoring in bioengineering, and a visiting graduate student at the Cedars-Sinai Biomedical Imaging Research Institute. His current research includes developing advanced imaging techniques for CEST MRI.

Yuheng Huang
Research Associate I

Yuheng (Chris) Huang is a PhD student in the bioengineering department at UCLA. He acquired his master's degree at the University of Southern California, majoring in electrical engineering with a focus on image and signal processing. His past and current research interests have included cardiac MRI, B0 shimming, MRI reconstruction and machine learning.

Archana Malagi
Postdoctoral Scientist

Archana V. Malagi earned a bachelor's in biomedical engineering and a master's in computational biology. She received her PhD in biomedical engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. She is currently a postdoctoral scientist in the Biomedical Imaging Research Institute at Cedars-Sinai. Her interests: clinical implementation of novel MRI techniques with UNIC shimming and quantitative MRI.

Michael Ocasio
Medical Physicist, MRM Graduate Student

Michael is Interested in MRI hardware design, field shimming devices and MR guided radiation therapy.

Fardad Michael Serry, MS
Research Associate II

Fardad Michael Serry received master’s degrees in physics, electrical engineering and computer science, and magnetic resonance in medicine, respectively, from the University of New Mexico, the University of Illinois and Cedars-Sinai. His research involves main magnetic field (B0) correction (shimming) hardware, software, theory, and computational simulations including near metal implants, and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and reconstruction of MRI images.

Nan Wang, PhD
Postdoctoral Scientist

Nan Wang received her bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering at Peking University in 2015 and her PhD degree in bioengineering at UCLA in 2020. She is currently a postdoctoral scientist in BIRI, Cedars-Sinai. Her major research interest is in quantitative body MRI, including multi-parametric mapping and DCE.
