Lab Members

Meliza has over 18 years of experience as a pediatric orthopedic and spine nurse. Since joining Cedars-Sinai four years ago, she has spearheaded the hospital’s pediatric halo-gravity traction program. As a nurse navigator, she provides patient and family education while advocating for comprehensive, coordinated care. Meliza also contributes to global health initiatives through her work with Spine Hope, participating in multidisciplinary medical missions to Nicaragua. Her passion is caring for children with complex medical needs and underserved populations.

Cristabelle coordinates the lab’s research program and serves as the primary point of contact for student researchers and collaborating faculty and institutions.

Miles provides administrative and operational support for the Illingworth Lab, coordinating research meetings, scheduling and communications to ensure the smooth running of clinical studies and program activities.
