Lab Members

Marissa received a BA in sociology at Loyola Marymount University. She previously worked in pediatrics at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and the Los Angeles Department of Public Health. She has contributed to the Home Blood Pressure Studies at the Bello Lab and the R.I.S.E for Black Maternal Mental Health Study at Cedars-Sinai OBGYN. She is currently pursuing her MPH at A.T. Still University.

Jeannette earned a BS in molecular biology at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Her past experience includes oncology research specializing in adult leukemia at Mass General Cancer Center and the Los Angeles Barbershop Study. She has contributed to the Home Blood Pressure Studies at the Bello Lab and the R.I.S.E for Black Maternal Mental Health Study at Cedars-Sinai OBGYN. She is engaged in the latest sub-study, Neuro Pilot, conducted at the Bello Lab in collaboration with Neurology.

Patrick holds a BA in public health and BBA in finance from the University of Hawaii, followed by an MS in epidemiology from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. Formerly an active-duty Korean translator for six years, his research includes the Adult Change in Thoughts and the Reference Ability Neural Network-Cognitive Reserve studies, examining Alzheimer’s disease and dementia associated with occupation across one’s lifespan. He has also contributed to the Barbershop Neuro Pilot and nuMoM2b studies.
