Predrag Jovanovic, PhD, earned his doctorate and his master's degree in biology from the University of Belgrade in Serbia. He studied the effects of oxytocin on the sympathomedullary system and the heart of chronically isolated rats.
Nancy Morones earned her master’s degree in cell biology from Yale University and her bachelor's degree in molecular, cell and developmental biology from UCLA. Prior to joining the Riera Lab, Morones pursued studies in vesicle trafficking and cellular signaling. In 2020, she was selected by the Cedars-Sinai Graduate Program to pursue her PhD under the mentorship of Dr. Celine Riera.
Edward Novinbakht obtained his bachelor's degree in neuroscience from UCLA in 2018. He then joined the Riera Lab, first as an intern then as a research assistant before enrolling in the Cedars-Sinai Graduate Program in 2021 to pursue his PhD under the mentorship of Dr. Celine Riera.
Nareg obtained his bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2016. He completed his training by pursuing a program from the San Francisco State University in Pre-Health Professions. In 2022, he joined the Riera Lab as an intern.
