Brian Renner is interested in the medical imaging and diagnostics of neurological disease. He received his medical doctorate from Ross University School of Medicine and his undergraduate in biomedical engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology. He looks to continue his medical training and to practice medicine with an emphasis in advanced neurological imaging, particularly in the treatment of neurodegenerative disease and care.

Elaina received her BS in neuroscience from Florida Atlantic University, and is currently in the last year of a master of science in magnetic resonance in medicine program with a concentration in neuroimaging. Her current thesis focuses on investigating the prognostic value of advanced imaging biomarkers on clinical outcomes in multiple sclerosis and other related disorders. She will pursue a PhD in neuroscience, where she plans to expand upon her thesis to positively impact the current landscape of clinical care in multiple sclerosis and other neurodegenerative diseases.

Bryan completed his bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Washington in June 2019. After graduating, he worked in the pediatrics department there doing research on deep learning-based tissue segmentation for neonatal imaging. Bryan now works at Cedars-Sinai in the Neuroimaging Department and is working toward a master’s degree in medical imaging. His research interests include machine- learning applications to image reconstruction and image analysis.

Sreekanth Madhusoodhanan is currently serving as a postdoctoral scientist in the Neuroimaging Program. He completed his PhD on the topic of “Enhancement and Restoration of Magnetic Susceptibility-Related Features in Parallel MRI.” His work is focused on novel biomarkers of multiple sclerosis and translation of advanced imaging techniques to the clinical setting. He is also interested in developing post-processing tools to improve the diagnostic quality of MR images.

Sargis graduated from the University of Southern California with a BS in neuroscience. He has extensive research experience at the Keck School of Medicine of USC and the NIH, studying neurodegenerative diseases. He currently studies the relation between visual outcomes and MRI measures for neurology patients at Cedars-Sinai. He also helps deliver patient care for research participants.

Has Silemek is a postdoctoral scientist in the Neurology Department of Cedars-Sinai. Her moral motivation is to develop cutting-edge methods for addressing brain damage even ahead of clinical manifestations using a variety of noninvasive imaging tools in chronic neurological diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease and multiple sclerosis. For this aim, she includes a wide spectrum of factors in her analysis: structural and functional brain connectivity, cardiac imaging, neuropsychological tests and clinical outcomes.
