Jacob finished his undergraduate degree at Westminster College in Salt Lake City with a bachelor of science in neuroscience. His core interest is in regenerative neuroscience, specifically concerning spinal cord injury. Jacob’s current work involves the regulation of dopamine release and the source of dopamine neuron vulnerability in aging.

Hrach obtained his bachelor’s degree in molecular and cell biology from the University of California, Berkeley (Cal) while working in the Cognition and Action Lab, and subsequently became an associate in clinical pharmacology at Amgen. Hrach now focuses on examining the differences in the regulation of dopamine and glutamate release.
