Cedars-Sinai has three dedicated flat-panel, biplane 3D angiographic imaging suites, which create a 3D virtual reality road map to the patient's brain and allow surgeons to more accurately navigate catheters through the blood vessels. The suites include computed tomography (CT) scan and angiogram capabilities.
Cedars-Sinai is certified as a Comprehensive Stroke Center — the highest designation — by The Joint Commission and the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association. It has one of the largest neurovascular patient volumes in California. It is one of the largest nonprofit academic medical centers in the U.S. Its facilities include a 24-bed dedicated neuro ICU staffed by fellowship-trained neuro-intensivists.
