Program Testimonials

I am fortunate to have had my endocrinology fellowship training at Cedars-Sinai. Every faculty member is an expert in their respective subspecialties (i.e., pituitary, thyroid, diabetes, adrenal) and is eager to share their knowledge in managing a wide range of diseases. The endocrinology department offers a unique interdisciplinary approach with neurosurgery, ENT, oncology and radiology, and unparalleled resources to cultivate research projects from IRB to publication. Cedars-Sinai gave me the confidence to become a well-rounded endocrinologist. This program felt like family and I know I have gained mentors and colleagues for the rest of my career."

The Cedars-Sinai Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism Fellowship provided me with a strong foundation to start my career in academic medicine. The broad clinical pathologies including rare pituitary and neuroendocrine disorders, culturally diverse patient population, and a series of the didactic session from motivated faculty, who are the leaders in the field, equipped me with the necessary ability, knowledge and skill to become a competent endocrinologist. Also, the program has a strong research profile and offers various translational and clinical research opportunities. With the guidance of faculty and mentors, I attended the Clinical Scholars Program at Cedars-Sinai, and thankfully attended a national meeting to present abstracts and published research outcomes. All in all, I have fond memories of two years at Cedars-Sinai, where I grew up personally and professionally.”

Department of Medicine, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai

The Cedars-Sinai Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism Fellowship provided me an incredible educational and training experience that has proven to be invaluable in starting my career. I have had the opportunity to gain clinical and research experience with world-class faculty who are leaders in their field. Being a part of specialized clinics in thyroid FNA, pituitary, transgender medicine, and reproductive endocrinology, along with acquiring specialized skill sets and procedural experience. helped me build upon the broad clinical exposure I received from general endocrinology continuity clinics. A brisk inpatient service with a large breadth of pathologies further hones the clinical experience. Perhaps, most importantly there is unparalleled one-on-one mentorship that fosters a truly collegial training environment, with faculty dutifully invested in the success of fellows. Overall, the fellowship program provided me an outstanding foundation to truly establish a successful and rewarding career in endocrinology.”

The Cedars-Sinai Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism Fellowship is an outstanding opportunity and experience. The faculty are excellent mentors and teachers who are invested in not only the professional development of the fellows, but also their personal development. The fellowship has a compassionate program director who actively advocates for the needs of the fellows. I had fantastic opportunities to participate in conferences such as the Pituitary Society, Endo Society, Endo University, and the Cornell/Columbia Obesity Medicine course, with funding and scholarships secured with the help of Cedars-Sinai and faculty recommendations. There is ample opportunity to pursue research and a wide variety of electives to tailor your fellow experience to your interests. Cedars-Sinai has a state-of-the-art pituitary and thyroid center (and they are building an adrenal program), which allows you to train under a wide variety of cases, and for you to feel ready for anything once you finish. After completing the fellowship, I felt prepared to perform and interpret in-office thyroid ultrasounds, perform thyroid FNA biopsy procedures, and review and interpret CT adrenal phase, MRI pituitary and bone density DXA images. You will be ready for any practice of your choice after graduating from the Cedars-Sinai Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism Fellowship. I feel blessed to have trained at Cedars-Sinai and look back at my time there fondly.”
