Application Instructions
All applicants for the Cedars-Sinai Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship must apply through Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) and submit the following documents:
- Application
- Curriculum vitae
- Three total letters of recommendation – A traditional letter OR the Standard Letter of Evaluation (SLOE) are both accepted formats. Please refer to the SGO website for more information and to download 2024 cycle templates.
- Letter from gynecologic oncologist
- Letter from Residency Program Director (PD) or Chair
- Letter from another gynecologic oncologist, away rotation supervisor, Residency Program Director) or Chair (whichever not submitted for second letter), current supervisor if post-residency.
- Letter from gynecologic oncologist
- Medical school diploma or transcript
- Personal statement
- Photograph
- United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) score or
- Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination (COMPLEX-USA)
- Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates, (ECFMG) certificate, license or Fifth Pathway (only accepted for those who hold a Fifth Pathway certificate)
Applicants are required to submit Council on Resident Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology (CREOG) scores directly to the fellowship program, either by mail or email:

Additionally, applicants to our program must register for the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) and be American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology eligible.
Applicants who match to the Cedars-Sinai Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellowship must immediately start the process to obtain a license from the Medical Board of California.
Application Timeline
Common Dates: Fellowship application deadline in 2024
- April 1: Fellowships application deadline
- April 26: Invitations to interview sent to applicants
- April 29: Applicants have until this day to respond to invitations
Intervew Dates:
- Friday, July 19, 2024
- Saturday, July 20, 2024

Fellowship training starts August 1, to allow incoming fellows to move and take the ABOG OB/GYN Qualifying Exam at the end of July prior to starting fellowship.
