Training & Curriculum
The program is a one-year UCNS accredited Headache Medicine Fellowship for clinical training and research in the management of adult/pediatric headache disorders and facial pain. Fellows will have dedicated time rotating with orofacial pain specialists to learn about the management of complex oromaxillofacial pain and TMJ disorders. They will also rotate with neurosurgeons to learn about more advanced therapeutic options for CSF leaks and trigeminal neuralgia.
Completion of the fellowship program will prepare graduates for a career in headache medicine, both in clinical and academic practice.
Eight weeks of elective rotations are offered, and we are in the process of developing elective rotations. Rotations may include the fields of pain management, addiction medicine, sleep medicine and ophthalmology. Fellows will also gain experience in the treatment of patients following TBI and post-concussive headache.
