Neurocritical Care Fellowship
Led by some of the nation’s best educators in health science, our programs are at the forefront of translational medicine and healthcare innovation.
The Cedars-Sinai Neurocritical Care Fellowship program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and by the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties (UCNS). State-of-the-art care is provided by a multidisciplinary team of board-certified neurointensivists, fellows, nurse practitioners, a neurocritical care pharmacist and neurology, neurosurgery and anesthesia residents.
Fellows gain experience in a variety of procedures, including airway management, central and arterial line placement, bronchoscopy, bedside point-of-care ultrasonography, lumbar puncture, thoracentesis, paracentesis and transcranial Doppler interpretation. Research training is included in the curriculum, and independent fellow-driven clinical or pre-clinical projects are encouraged. Additionally, fellows will participate in multicenter clinical trials.
The Cedars-Sinai Neuroscience Critical Care Unit is a world-class, 24-bed unit that specializes in the management of critically ill patients with acute neurological conditions. Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is a nonprofit, Level 1 (highest level) trauma center located in the heart of Los Angeles. It was the first medical center in Los Angeles, and one of the first five in the nation, to earn Comprehensive Stroke Center certification from the Joint Commission in collaboration with the American Stroke Association.
