Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship

In the 2016–2017 academic year, Cedars-Sinai gained approval by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) to sponsor an independent fellowship program in gynecologic oncology. Previously under accreditation by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Cedars-Sinai was a co-sponsor with UCLA of a joint fellowship program for many decades. As ACGME does not recognize joint sponsorship of fellowship programs, the leadership at Cedars-Sinai and UCLA determined that there would be distinct advantages to becoming two independently accredited programs, one led by Cedars-Sinai and one led by UCLA.

The three-year Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship program at Cedars-Sinai strives to train academically oriented gynecologic oncologists, superb abdominal-pelvic surgeons and future scientists and leaders in the field of women’s cancer.
