The pharmacy department is unable to financially support visas.
The residency will start in mid-June.
Residents receive reimbursement for conference registration and a travel stipend.
Yes, we offer the ASHP online teaching certificate.
Residents staff an average of two weekends per month (every other weekend) starting in September of the residency year. They will select a primary staffing location and work a mix of day and evening shifts. Each resident will staff one major holiday block. During the second half of the year, residents will work approximately every 3rd weekend and two additional weeks (M-F).
Our PGY-1 residents have their own personal workspace and computer assigned within a shared resident office on campus.
The required drug information rotation is located off-site at another building. There is a shuttle between the main medical center for employee use.
Residents are required to complete a major project which is presented as a poster at the Vizient Pharmacy Meeting in December and the results are presented at the Western States Conference in spring.
PGY-1 residents will be certified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and receive hands-on training through mock codes at the medical center. Residents respond to Code Blue, Code Stroke and Rapid Responses during their rotations and staffing.
Yes, our PGY2s in oncology and transitions of care have an early commit process.
