Medicine, Holocaust and Genocide Studies Scholars

The Medicine, Holocaust and Genocide Studies Program at Cedars-Sinai is guided by an expert team of scholars. All are dedicated to making the center an international hub of research and a platform for scholarship about the activities of medical professionals before, during and after the Holocaust, and other genocides and human atrocities.

Former Strauss Fellows

Made possible through the generosity of Franklin Strauss, MD, the Center for Medicine, Holocaust and Genocide Studies provides two months of support to early-career scholars engaged in research at the intersection of health and healthcare with the Holocaust, other genocides or mass violence, more broadly. Strauss Fellows refine and pursue their research agendas within a community that includes clinicians and medical scientists, whose specialized knowledge can enhance fellows’ projects.
